Donut Cupcakes for Parties
These make wonderful goody bags to take home after a kids party. Find clear food safe bags at Michaels or other crafts stores. You can also find them in party sections of stores like Walmart. Dollar Stores sometimes have clear gift bags during holidays seasons as well. The clear bags really show off the cute donuts and look very classy. Make tags to staple on the top. You can find tags that match your party occasion on Etsy. I found buying a theme package for banners, water bottles, invitations often have matching tags for bags. If you can print them yourself it usually is a relatively inexpensive cost to buy and download. Plan a couple weeks in advance to make sure you have everything printed and labeled.
Party Favors
- To package, find clear cello bags let it show the cute colors and sprinkles. Add a printed label to each and send home as party favors. It is a cute gift for classmates or teachers too

Drizzle in a zigzag motion over the mini donut and enjoy. You could also place on the cupcake and do the zigzag drizzle over it all. You could put a small candy like gummy candy in the center of the donut to decorate as well.
Strawberry Jam Topping
Ingredients
- Strawberry Jam
- White Chocolate Melted.
Dip mini donuts into melted white chocolate. Heat white chocolate very slowly as it can scorch easily. I like to use a stainless steel double boiler for melting chocolate. I have used a Wilton Chocolate Melter which worked well until it just stopped. After two of them I switched to a stainless steel double boiler that rests over a pot filled with a little water that is boiled.
Warm up a little strawberry jam and drizzle over the donut cupcake as a variation. Or you can fill the middle of the mini donut in the center.
